The entire Flint family now has diplomas from Mount Vernon Nazarene University hanging on their walls.  Charissa received a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education during commencement exercises on May 18, 2008.  Upon accepting her diploma, Charissa was recognized for attaining some special awards.  She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and was selected to "WHO'S WHO" and ALPHA CHI HONOR SOCIETY.

At a reception sponsored by the MVNU Education Department on May 6, Charissa was presented with a plaque announcing that the faculty had selected her as "Early Childhood Student Teacher of the Year".  Realizing that it is stretching what Jesus meant when He made the statement, "THE LAST SHALL BE FIRST", the LTWM family is proud that in Charissa's case IT IS TRUE!
